I wouldn't like that beer BUT I would like to try it. No way I could drink a bottle of it though.
Similar to this article was reading the other day about a company that made a beer that tastes legit of Meat. I'd like to try it but I don't think I'd want a full bottle.

Meat beer sounds awful. And Hardtarget... the new bar / restaurant down the street from me has a solution for people who just want to try everything... They also have a fun scotch/whiskey/bourbon list that I'm working my way through.

I'll be in Seattle and Vancouver this weekend, what are some decent micros I should look for while I'm there? finally found the link I wanted: www.vancitybuzz.com/2013/05/10-best-beer-menus-in-vancouver/Any of the places on this list would be great to go to for a few beers I would especially recommend 6 - 1. I live super close to 5/4/3 and go to them all quite often. (I will say right now the scene is less about strictly BC beer though and more about good craft beer from the Pacific Northwest in general so lots of Oregon and Washington as well) Will you have any freetime? edit - oh also Beer is expensive here so when you see menu prices you now know in advance.

I'm in for about a 9 hour layover, so not a long time. I'm seeing if my bff can get work off so we can hang/catch up but if not he'll have to ditch off to work at around 2pm then i'm stuck wiht nothing to do till my flight at 10pm. So unless i have an escort I'll be back at the airport watching netflix or something till my flight. and thanks for the jewvice on the prices...I think i'll manage.

I ended up in what I suspect is downtown Seattle and within walking distance of A Terrilble Beauty Pub. www.aterriblebeauty.com/index.html. They had a lot on tap and most of it 'local' as the barkeep tells me. Had a 'seasonal' ale that was ok. And a couple really hoppy IPAs. Would drink at again.

ah damn that's too early for me to grab you and take you for a drink and then get you back to the airport On the plus side, the Vancouver Airport is a nice airport (as far as they go), free wifi, big collection of native art you can wonder around and look at, clean, some bars, etc.

That's not quite downtown, that's more the tech area where Amazon and such are, but it's a great area. I've never been to that place, I'll see if I can drag a few folks over there at some point.

I'm really digging Sam Adams Winterfest this year. Something tastes just a bit different than last year. For the moment it's been my go to order for my last 2 outings.
Also had some wierd Pumpkin Ale at hooters. Wasn't bad, could have done without them dipping the rim of the glass in brown sugar though.

Fall/holiday beers to look forward to, porters, stouts, winter warmers, brown ales. Shit anything where the light has trouble getting through. Oh and the pumpkins, which I have to say while early, the pumking is super good this year. I'm drinking my 2nd bottle tonight. This turned out to be super good advice. Pumking was the only pumpkin beer I had this fall that I loved. I liked several others, but this year Pumking was the best. Way to call it early Ray.
