We called to cancel DirecTV and they gave us half off our bill and free NFLST, so I have that again this year.

Very nice, the ticket is really a cool thing... just not worth the price they try to charge for it. My family used to get it when we were all still around. Now that everyone scattered... not worth it.

Its worth it to me for $300 or $400. Works out to be about $20 a game. You'd spend more than that going to see it at BWW. I also follow an out of market team, though.

Yeah. I don't know if they do it anymore but you used to be able to buy it for just one Sunday at a time. That we used ... when we knew we had the time to actually watch football all day. That was really more of the kicker. It's only 20$ a game if you're there all the Sundays. And we would easily miss half of those. Then like you say, if it was a week the Browns played at home... well we were watching local TV then anyways.
The sooner more entities stream directly with ala-carte pricing... the better.

Heard on the radio this morning that teams charge $275 per ticket for preseason games, don't know why anybody would pay that much to not watch their actual team play. Preseason NHL tickets are like $20.

I think they charge that much for season tickets, in like, sideline seating. If you purchase individual game tickets in a non-1%er seat it is usually like $80, if you get them on a site like StubHub it'd be cheap.
There are also about 500 more hockey games per season than NFL, and the NFL is a much more valuable property, so the prices will naturally be higher

Yeah as far as ticket face value goes, there is no difference between the preseason and regular season. Why? Because they can.
I had a dream last night that I was watching a preseason game between the Dolphins and the Bills. The Dolphins scored a touchdown and then just left the field. Thank you, Wild Turkey.

I actually read that whole thing.
I'm honestly jealous of Lions fans. The Jaguars have the exact same shit problems, PLUS they're still basically treated as an expansion team.
The upside of liking that team though is that if I ever choose to abandon them in a fit of despair, I don't think anybody would blame me.
