Wow I'm way less than you guys. I had one beer 2 weeks ago and don't remember the last time before that. you have 4 kids My wife and I just had a big fancy roast dinner that was kind of a production, between the time making it, eating it, cleaning up, then having some desert, we each had a beer and a bottle of wine.

So PEI is having a beer festival...lol beerfestpei.ca/Well at least they are trying. Except for the Picaroons guys I think I've tried everything even remotely interesting on that list. Oh and the McAusland brewery from QC I'd like to try more of their stuff, currently only have an excellent Oatmeal stout available here from them...wanna try some Pumpkin Ale that you guys are constantly splooging over. beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/194/2704

I've had St. Ambroise before and I remember liking it. As for beer festivals... it's that time of year here too... www.clevelandbeerweek.org/product/product.aspxDefinitely going to Brewzilla... and considering "Ales on Rails" just because the name is awesome.

i wanted more details! It's a basic pre-boiled kit for now so i get comfortable with sanitizing, racking, bottling, etc. It's a Munich Dark Lager. When i get a couple of these 'kits' under my belt (probably do some hacks like try different yeasts, maybe some dry hopping, and see how that affects the final product) i'm going to order up some grains and hops and what not to do my own boil. These kits are cheap enough (around $45) will yield ~23 liters. I wouldn't feel as bad infecting a batch of that due to inexperience as opposed to spending a day doing a boil and cocking it up.

ya that's what I was asking The kits to learn the way method seems really smart, I hope it turns out ok!

Racked to secondary complete. Now to wait 10-15 day to finish fermenting, then to bottles then another two weeks in the bottles...hope this is worth it.

Never did it myself, but I think you get way better results soda-kegging than bottling. I think bottle conditioning may be tough to get right.

Just got the Morning Glory myself today. Pretty straight-forward coffee stout that hides the 9 percent abv really well.
Mouthfeel though? 2.5/7.
