Shouldn't Chad be interviewing everyone?

Agreed. It's just a little too laggy to make a good shooter.

I don't know why, but I bit on FF7 at $4. I can't even muster the energy to really plow through Bioshock Infinite on a four-day weekend, but still snapped up a JRPG that I've beaten before and that I know can be tedious.
Oh well, got that and 400 Days with my CARDZ money, so I guess it's all the same.

Honestly, I don't get why people like it that much. It's okay at best. It has combat mechanics of a game from the 90's and the story doesn't even come close to the first Bioshock.

Yeah I played through it thinking it would get amazing at any moment. It never did. Hell I got to the last fight and died, I was like you know what, fuck this and never finished it

I enjoyed Infinite a lot. Very very pretty and a super cool world.
It did have a point near the end when I just wanted to be done with the thing though.
And it never felt as epic in combat as the first Bioshock did. Part of me wants to say it's because I'm better at the game... but that's not the truth. The truth is the combat has gotten easier with each iteration of the series as they expand your options... and use larger play spaces.

I enjoyed Infinite in quick bursts, but it felt so linear compared to the first two (although I don't really know if it IS more linear). The fights in the first two seemed more tense as well (Big Daddies), can't remember something similar in Infinite. The songs were cool though.
So... Starbound anyone?

A few of us have Starbound (Tremor, Shclag, Alg, Dewar and myself). Pretty fun, it's basically Terraria 2.0 with multiple random planets you can travel around to.

Yay, played it for about an hour yesterday. Had more fun with it than Terraria, seems more focused with quests and stuff.

I just beat it over the weekend, but I think you were spot on. There were actually enemies that made you go OH SHIT OH SHIT like the Big Daddies, but because the maps were more wide open, you never really get that sense of impending doom. I think their biggest mistake was the obviously tacked on nonsense with the grappling hook. Just didn't make sense in the context of the game, and it seemed totally superfluous when I could just snipe dudes with a carbine from cover. Beautiful game though and a great story. Hell of a game for $10, or whatever I paid for it.
