I don't remember the robocop movies but that I do NOT want to see.
Also they're going to make him wear a black suit for probably more than half the movie. No thank you.

Gravity was pretty bad as far as movies go, but a solid amusement park ride. If you must see it, do it in 3D and/or IMAX or not at all. I feel like a good quarter of the movie is explicitly "3D movie shots."

The vibe is super sparse and probably the best thing that it does is make you really feel the zero-G motion on the screen in your gut. That's what makes me say it's an amusement park ride. You feel motion, the lack of oxygen and the silence of space... which is really pretty cool. But what story it has is completely ham-handed and secondary. It could honestly be one of those pseudo-films they're always showing at the Air and Space Museum. |

Rush was pretty great. Even the wife liked it. In fact, during the Nurburgring race sequence she grabbed my hand and squeezed it tight the entire time. She was getting pretty into it.

Gravity is a good movie, but it's no where near that 96 metacritic score. I didn't see it in 3D so there was nothing to bias my judgement of it as a movie.
There's a story... a very thing obvious story where you don't really care about any of the characters because there's zero character building. So if you make a story, quickly introduce characters, kill them with no build up, it means nothing. The movie tries to make it feel like something, but it doesn't work for obvious reasons.
There could have been that build up because the movie is damn short, but that wasn't the point of the piece. It's not the best movie this year. I'm expecting to like Rush a lot more.

I felt it was fine the way it was, I didnt need motivation or setup for astronauts being astronauts.If anything it made it easier to insert myself into the situation. What with Sandra being the place holder for the audience. Clooney was great, and Bulloch was Bulloch , this movie was not made better nor worse for her presence , she just simply was there. Whatever the case , I thought it was a beautifully shot film , the score was great up and until the final theme. Imax was the way to see it , so if youre going to , do that, and please make sure its "Real" Imax.

Almost saw Gravity last night but decided last minute to see Prisoners instead. I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty damn good movie. Everyone should check it out

gravity is a fuckin' great 1 hour 30 minute sci fi thriller. fuckin' amazing performance out of sandy b. best film of the year, awesome score too.
