I liked it. I like ham fisted sci-fi. I thought everyone would "get" it. Then I am reading elsewhere and people don't realize it's such an obvious take on our current situation. Which made me kind of scared.

I really wish he would give up trying to make movies about how awful the 99% has it and how horrible people who make money are and just make the Halo movie. I get that people want to bring attention to what they consider "important social issues" but leave it out of my summer popcorn movies. I just want to see some shit blow up.

Worlds End kinda peters out during the last 15 minutes but otherwise is a good followup to Shaun and Hot Fuzz.
Although the hardest laughs in the theater were during the Bad Grandpa trailer of all things

Hell, this is obvious from the previews. If people didn't get that then there is a serious problem cause it's pretty damn clear. Refuges trying to get into America is no different than Cubans/Haitians on boats and Mexicans jumping fences. |

Dredd was great. I saw Pain & Gain the other night, had no clue that it was a true story going in and it was completely different than what I expected. It was interesting but I can't really decide if I liked it or not.
