It recently started happening to me at work (IE8) with a few different websites, but no problems at home (IE10 and Chrome.)

Not that problem for me. Mine is that the new button sometimes just takes me to page 1 of a thread.

I really think you're just miss clicking. The target area for the New label is really small, and clicking the white space behind it just takes you to the start of the thread. Now that I'm taking an extra second to make sure New is NOT underlined when I click, I haven't had any problems.

New is always underlined - regardless of whether the link actually takes me to the newest post.

i could probably at some point in the future see if i can change it so clicking the thread will take you the newest post regardless if you click the new link like the pa forums.
someday maybe

New is always underlined - regardless of whether the link actually takes me to the newest post. Nope. I don't know what to tell you. It's underlined when I'm not hovering over the new image, and it's underlined when I am hovering over it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Since we came here I've never seen a rollover behavior on that image.

I guess it was never broken it's just a really tiny click area. Works better on phone at least

It recently started happening to me at work (IE8) with a few different websites, but no problems at home (IE10 and Chrome.) All of a sudden yesterday I've had to hit the login button every time I come to the forums in Chrome. It never actually has me enter a username and password though (I assume it uses cached credentials/cookies).
