that does looks pretty meh and to top it off with a bad framerate... no bueno. Bad framerate, terrible pop-in, shit lighting... I guess that's what happens when a game starts on the 360 and you port it to the One mid dev. EDIT - that above screenshot is what I expect the final games of this nextgen to almost look like (6-8 years from now). Most likely yes, to the screenshot comment. |

While at West Edmonton Mall!!! this weekend I walked by a Microsoft pop-up store an they had two Xbox Ones on Display and were giving demos. I was able to play a couple races of Forza 5 and the dude next to me was playing Killer Instinct. Forza looked amazing but at the same time it was just more of the exact same game. I don't know, it was great but not console selling worthy. (also I'm not sure why the rumble triggers exist, they were neat i guess?) Killer Instinct looked extremely good player model wise but again, just seems like another fighting game. Nothing really new on offer. the fact killer instinct is basically $20 but I need a new $200 arcade stick to play it the "right way" annoys the hell out of me. I wish I bought my fightsticks on PS3 because those work on PS4 |

Ordered a Day one edition through Amazon. It's funny there is a lot of misinformation out there about the one. It reminds me of the days of the original Xbox. I owned that on release as well and got made fun of, oh well

The thing I keep seeing kicked around is that the XB1 doesn't support Dolby Surround over HDMI via the input. It does, it's just not on by default, and the feature is beta. You have to manually toggle an option in the settings. While it's kind of shitty that a pretty basic feature like that is still "beta," the people shouting "Xbox One only does stereo sound!" are incorrect.  Apparently, the future is now. |

 I took this picture at the Indy 200. Note the visor is partially below the body of the car. The forza guy seems a little lower... but if he's looking down... at all... given that it's during the grid segment... that's about right. |
