Didn't want to go the digital distribution route? Got Forza and Ryse for a total of $60. Don't know how much the digital purchases are as of yet but it seemed cheaper that way.

Where did you order them from? amazon. had trade in credit and was able to snag them wed when they were $40 each, so $60 out of pocket. Was looking for the Lego marvel game, but sadly looks like I missed all the deals on that. I refuse to buy it at $60 for the console when I can get it on steam right now for $12 through greenmangaming.

Okay, so I really hate the start of Forza. Seriously, let me go to my fucking garage and adjust things, stop bouncing me into events I don't want to do.
Also, would be great if they dropped the "your lap isn't certified cause some stupid AI drafted you for a second"

X class F1 is awesome. All I did was do a quick lap on each track for the rivals thing but I know where I'll be dumping a ton of time later on.

Any of you running into the TV app problem? The one where it keeps giving you the error "The TV application is taking too long to start?" It's a software bug with the TV app and how it handles HDMI and apparently springs up after you watch TV for a long time, then switch to another app and back. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Easy fix:
1) Go to Settings, Power, and change the setting from Instant On to Energy Saving 2) Shut down the Xbox One, then start it back up 3) Optionally, change the setting back
Basically, this forces the system to do a complete restart, rather than leaving the apps in a saved state in low-power mode. This will force the TV app to renegotiate the HDMI connection and should restore use of your cable/sat TV. You can leave the system in Energy Saving mode to help avoid the bug (or at least easily recover), but be aware that "Xbox On" and low-power patching and downloading will not be available.

Halo Spartan Assault is pretty fun, if light. My only major complaint with it is they leave the stupid border up on the screen the entire game like it was still on a tablet.

Yeah I figure out the tv fix like the 2nd day of the system being out. I posted the fix on the official forums since a lot of the people had the same issue. It's pretty damn annoying since Instant On is how the machine is designed to be used

I might have to try this to see if it fixes a little niggling bug I have. The Xbox One and my LG TV occasionally don't synch DTS audio over HDMI. Easily fixed by power cycling the TV once. Thing is, LG has updated the firmware on my television like 5 times in the last month, so it's quite possible it's LG's fault actually... as I didn't have this problem from what I recall in the first week of owning the One.

hmm, should figure out how to do that. Is that the "xbox, record that" thing? I thought that only did the last 30 seconds.

You can do up to 5 minutes if you crank up GameDVR before hand, snap it to the side, and manually start the clip.

You can also go 5 minutes back if you snap the DVR after the fact as well. You don't have to set it up beforehand.

I'm cool with that. Not every game needs to me a 16+ player killfest. I mean look at MAG. It was totally hyped up to be this incredible experience because it could do 256 players at once, and it ended up being medicore at best. Between the multiplayer story experience, the AI soldiers, and the Titans, I think Titanfall doesn't suffer at all from having a slightly lower player count than Call of Duty or Halo.

You can also go 5 minutes back if you snap the DVR after the fact as well. You don't have to set it up beforehand. Yup this is what I prefer. At the end of a session... xbox snap game dvr, end clip, 5 minutes. That's how I did Ryse. It's more convenient because you can grab a section during any little break in gameplay. Also the snap first start recording method doesn't work with Ryse. Because Ryse is one of those games that auto grabs lots of little clips for what it thinks are "cool moments". Those supercede your attempt to 5 minute record. It stops your recording to grab a timely execution ... or a long combo streak. Which is stupid. Next time someone and I gladiator, there will be clips of the last 5 minutes of our rounds. I did the Forza 5 clip the Kestrel way. Xbox snap game dvr, start recording, xbox unsnap... to let it record in the background and then I hit play on the Forza replay. 5 minutes wasn't QUITE the whole race due to me not starting the replay right away. I edited out the OS stuff in the beginning using upload in both cases. Uploads editor is simple, but works great. I wish the commands were directly accessible without having to snap / unsnap... but launch OS and all.

Yeah comparing a game that only does 6v6 to a console game doing 256 players is a good comparison. Not a comparison to every other modern game that does at least 9v9, if not 12v12. The real question: why not have real players instead of AI? AI is never good in an FPS.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gRpkLJz_Pc#tTuned up a Challenger SRT8 and smashed the Modern Muscle category on Unbeatable AI. Fun driving car ... once you remove 600 lbs from it and change the suspension completely.
